At Empower Mentoring, we understand the multitude of pressures children face in today's world, from schoolwork to social media and everything in between. We recognise that parenting in such a complex environment can be challenging. That is why our mentors are not only passionate about supporting young people but also equipped with the skills to assist parents and families.
Our process begins with a visit to the family home during the setup stage. This allows us to meet the family and/or the young person, introduce ourselves, and gather necessary information in a familiar and comfortable environment. It's also an opportunity for families to ask any questions they may have. We can even provide photos of the mentor so the child can become familiar with them beforehand.
With input from both the commissioner and the parents, we tailor a package that best meets the needs of both the child and the family. This collaborative approach ensures that we provide comprehensive support that addresses the unique challenges and needs of the young person.
